Types of Treatment Available
Chiropractic
This method of health care uses a variety of therapeutic measures to restore normal joint and muscle function. One common focus is to correct faulty joint position or motion by adjusting areas that have become stuck. This is often used for joints of the spine, but at times it can be used on other areas of the body such as the shoulders, knees, elbows, feet, hips, and to treat TMJ problems as well. When directed towards appropriate types of problems, this therapy can provide incredibly rapid and effective relief of pain and dysfunction. This care is oriented towards the everyone, from infants to the elderly, sports enthusiast, manual laborers, and weekend warriors to those who enjoy a more sedentary lifestyle.
Massage
Massage therapy can range from general relaxation to specialized therapy directed at specific areas of soft tissue scarring or muscle tension. There is a wide range of techniques that are used by our skilled therapists to restore normal muscle function. In certain circumstances this therapy can be deep and somewhat uncomfortable, however, for the most part it provides immediate relief in a pleasant and enjoyable fashion.
Physical Therapy & Therapeutic Exercise
Physical Therapy is used to identify areas of uneven muscle strength and muscle flexibility in areas of the body that have become unbalanced. Therapists use exercise techniques to correct problems that have come on from old injuries, repetitive overuse, or body asymmetries from being right handed or doing one-sided activities like golf or tennis. Correction of these problems often alleviates joint and muscle pain, and dramatically slows down the effects of aging, preventing the need for other types of care.
Acupuncture
Acupuncture can be used to treat a variety of issues like pain, headaches, stress relief, sleep disturbances, muscle related conditions, and fatigue just to name a few. Our acupuncturist uses a dynamic therapeutic technique to achieve the best results possible.
